Fueltopia Barrel Sprint

The Fueltopia Barrel Sprint is an affordable entry into grassroots Motorsport. It's a cross of Drag racing, Gymkhana and Drifting, focusing on driver skill and speed in a head-to-head battle environment.

In its fourth full season the championship is hosting round four at The Fast Car Festival and you can enter too! Although many drivers compete all year round to gain maximum points for the season, the barrel sprint is open to those just wanting to dip in and out or try out a round. All you need is a full UK driving licence, a car and a helmet.

Drivers line up in one of two parallel lanes and must be quick off the lights, navigate their way around three barrels (a full 360 degrees) and cross the line in the quickest time. Sounds easy? It's harder than you might think and once you've mastered the barrels it's time to head into knockout battles with the rest of your class to find the quickest driver on the day.

The Fueltopia Barrel Sprint is open to almost every car out there and has four categories you may fall into AWD, RWD, FWD and U1*. With a prize bundle and £100 up for grabs in each class it's worth giving it a go!

On Sunday the Fueltopia Barrel Sprint will be opening to everyone on a ‘run what you brung’ basis. Sign on for just £10 and get five runs on the barrel sprint track, set the fastest time of the day in your class and win a prize bundle from Fueltopia and their sponsors.
