In addition to the amazing Group A and B cars doing demonstrations all weekend at The Fast Car Festival, we’re delighted to also announce that some of the most iconic rally models of all time have been added to the roster.

The Lancia Stratos is a car that needs very little introduction. With its mid-engine layout and wild styling, it’s a car that instantly hit a chord among petrol heads. We are very pleased to announce that the Lancia Stratos Enthusiasts Club will be bringing along a selection of its members’ vehicles for both static and live action displays at FCF16.

The Stratos model was developed as a pure rally machine to directly replace the hugely successful Fulvia in international rallying. It was to go up against the mighty Group 4 MkII Ford Escorts and beat them! In fact the Stratos won championship titles in ’74, ’75 and ’76 before Fiat shifted its focus to the 131 Abarth. In fact the Stratos was still winning rallies in privateer hands as late as 1981!

If you want to see these iconic rally machines in action all you have to do is come along to The Fast Car Festival this July 30^th or 31^st. You’ll find them lapping the Melbourne Loop all weekend alongside many other rally legends.
